    Heinkel 177 Grief

Any chance of getting one of these converted from CFS2 to CFS3? Ted was trying one when I last heard from Sim outhouse. IDK its status though.

Sim Outhouse's status? New forum software, new server(s?), same bunch of good-natured nutcases!

Oh the Greif! It's mostly made, iirc, just needs finalising, plus flight and damage models. And it's not a CFS2 conversion, it's another new Greg Law model which Ted is finishing off.

I feel like this would be a good place to ask something. For some reason, even though I have a working account with them, I can not download anything from sim-outhouse or any of its partner sites. When I hit download I get the message; "File 401 not found." This happens with all files. I have tried making two new accounts and the same thing keeps happening, not matter what computer I am using. This is very puzzling. Have I cursed the site? HELP!

    Re: Heinkel 177 Grief

As posted above, they're moving to new servers, have new forum software and the admins have a LOT to do getting everything up and running, so downloads are one of the things awaiting completion. They'll be back soon, curses notwithstanding!

This weekend marks the start of the main transfer of the CFS3 forum to the new setup, so service will be flaky until that's finished. I can't get on tonight, but I'm sure I won't have too long to wait before normal service is restored.

well that makes sense and all, but it has seemed that they have been down for a long time. I got my membership with them in early january and the downloads failed then, too...

Ever had a hard disk crash and tried to rebuild your system? These guys run a system that makes any of ours look like a pocket calculator - and they had a server which died....

Patience, old chap! Downloads are promised by the end of this month, IIRC.

I hope so too, I really miss the site and the aircraft. I'm really looking forward to Ted's Catalina and Heinkel 177!

The Catalina is already out at Beau Brummie's CFS3 site.
